Staccato SAP
months in 2008
- In which I attempt to be brief after leaving the pay-day loan sector.
- Contracting out to SAP Looked like a good opportunity: good money, solid name.
- Internal customers serviced by a new consistent “consultancy”-minded practice.
- Resourced at levels of architects and developers; not necessarily fit quite right. I noticed it; I’m sure the internal customers felt it too.
- During the 2008 downturn, customers not fully hooked into a project re-evaluated budgets. My particular project didn’t make the cut.
Pulling an Emergency Chute
2008-2010
Let’s keep this short as well…
I had been sporadically contacted about returning to a place I had been years before. I’d be at a lower level than I was, mainly due to the organization growing in the interim.
Realized it wasn’t for me, but I provided as much value as I could, influenced a few people to better themselves, and got out after a year and a half.
